Day Four: Sometimes you just need a break

So I am a day late, with the Project 365 any way! I am sure that this is going to happen. Life always seems hectic and sometimes gets in the way of doing the really important stuff like Blogging! So Here it is, sometimes at the end of the day all you really need is a break. I took this picture of a Corona delivery truck this morning. I need a Rockstar and went to the connivance store and what did I see? The heavens sending me a message and that message was: Don't sweat over the stuff you can not control. Relax, slow down and enjoy life. After the rough night I had last night these words made sense. I rush through things because I am in a hurry to get on to the next project. I need to stop, pause and look around at my surroundings. I need to pay attention to those around me that need it. More importantly and this is a huge one: I need to take care of myself. Something that I hate doing because I feel selfish when I need to slow down. I have been dealing with one of the worst back aches I have ever had. I thought it was because I have changed chairs at work, My couch and bed are old and not to mention Hunter has been sleeping in my bed for the past month. Now that I think about it, it is stress. It has to be, its not getting better and slowly getting worse. So starting today I am going to slow down, smell the roses and drink a Corona.

Sleepy Boy Day Three Project 365

We had some excitement today: SNOW!!!! We live in Las Vegas and it snows maybe once a year and never sticks! So when I woke up and saw the snow, I had to wake Hunter up:) So I woke him up and got him dressed and ran outside to play a little in it. He was excited, especially when he go to daycare and there was enough snow to have a snow ball fight!!!!! So he played hard in the snow that melted in three hours from it falling. Which leads to this picture: A tired baby!!! He got home we went and got pancakes and he was ready for bed. He had a long day, its not everyday that your mom wakes you out of a peaceful sleep to go stand out in the cold, then have a snow ball fight with your friends!! It made me realize how short and Sweet this life is and I wish we could have more moments of spontaneity in our lives.

Day 2: Cold day at the park

We decided that despite the freezing elements outside we should take a short walk to the park to burn off some energy. It wasn't as cold as I thought it would be. We had a blast, we were the only ones at the park so we had it all to ourselves. Hunters most favorite thing at the park other then meeting new friends is the swings. He could swing for days! So he swung as high as the sky and we chased some birds. I looked over at a house and happened to see some chickens!!! I have lived in this neighborhood for over two years and never saw a chicken here, so we had to go investigate. Hunter went crazy and almost ran across the street to chase them! He was a little disappointed when he couldn't catch one. Oh well next time:) So here is my day 2 of the project 365. I love this shot of his simple smile and shaggy hair and really who doesn't love a black and white pic?????

Day 1 My Goofy Boy

Hunter-Goofy, Silly, Loving, Helper, Kind, Giver, Caring, Trouble maker. There are so many ways to describe my wonderful loving son. He is a nut, loves to dance, play and snuggle. This picture captures his goofy side, a side while sometimes frustrates me is a side that I hope he never loses. It is a side that when I am at my lowest he brings me back with his silly antics. So for my Day one of project 365 I share with you my goofy, fun loving, tongue sticking out wanting more M & M's beautiful son.

Appreciation

So last night I finished watching this independent Bollywood movie called "We are family" it was a hard movie to get through. The whole premise of the movie is that the mother is dying and her ex-husband and girlfriend are trying to blend the family and take care of the mother.

I think that I cried half way through the movie. Not the kind of crying one does at the thought of something sad but hysterical cant catch your breath cry. I should have just stopped watching, I mean I knew she was going to die and everything would work out but I like to torture myself with that kind of stuff. I have no idea why, maybe because I have never had to experience that kind of pain before, maybe because I am terrified of dying and leaving Hunter alone in this world? Who knows really, maybe I am just sick in the head! Whatever the reason was I loved the movie and it made me appreciate my life a little more and hug my son a little tighter when I went to bed. Now I just have to get through today with swollen eyes and a puffy I have been up all night crying face.

The Beginning

We all have to start somewhere right? I think I will start right here. I am a Mother to an amazing little boy. A little boy that challenges me every day, sometimes in good ways and sometimes in the worst ways. I love it and can not picture my life any other way. I work full time, yes I have mommy guilt who doesn't?? Sometimes I let it get the best of me, sometimes I get the best of it. I am independent, more often then not I am to independent and drive people away with it. I'm working on it, actually I am not. You don't like it keep walking nothing to see here people. This makes me sound catty and yes I am, I have to be to those that need it. Really I am to caring and wear my heart on my sleeve its a flaw. This Blog thing is all new to me, my sister is doing the 365 blog and I said sounds cool maybe I will try it. So here I am. What will this blog be about? I have no clue but it might be fun to find out!
